Happy Sunday!

A co-worker of mine a couple of weeks ago became a US Citizen. I have been swamped with stuff around here and haven't had the time to make her a card and was waiting on her gift to arrive. Here is what I came up with:

I used a retired set because I couldn't find my current set. I have boxes upon boxes of uncut stamp sets I know I just purchased the american flag from the mini but I'll be damed if I could find it. You know that goes.

Good Morning! I know, I know, it's been ions since I last posted. You all know how it goes in life, things just happen and time slips away from you. I have been going through a difficult time in my life too personal to mention, but hopefully, I have come to accept what GOD has dealt me and move on even though it hurts. I am going to try and post more often as time will allow. I told you before I took on a job about a year ago and after being out of work for three years it has been an adjustment that I cannot get use to. I guess beacause I am older and cannot do what I use to do. I use to work 40 hrs out of the house and did part-time work at home until 10 p.m., watch my soap operas, do workshops, stamp quite often with a friend on the weekends and now I am in bed by 8 p.m. up at 4:30 a.m., I do not stamp as often as I use to and I have slowed down on my workshops. I am going to be making a darn good effort to do better!

I am making a vow for the new Stampin' UP!® year to start up my classes once a month. Each month I will have a different theme. This class will be offered on Saturdays or Sundays only! So if you would like to attend please signup early as I have limited seating! And, also to do more workshops! The Stampin' UP!® year begins July 1st so after convention I will be starting classes and workshops. If you would like to book a workshop, you are going to love the new Hostess program. No more Level 1, 2 and 3. For a workshop that is $150 you get $25 in Hostess dollars to spend as you wish from a group of Hostess items. Well I know this technique has been around for quite a long time but you know doubting Terry always thinks she can't do it! Well I was asked by a co-worker if I could help her out. She was giving a gift to the OWNERS of the company I work for and needed glasses with their initials on it and asked if I could do it for her. I said yes!!! (Didn't tell her I've never done it before!) so I went home to try and find the technique (I know it was in one of our Stampin' Success magazines we receive for Demonstrators) Do you think I could find it? So I put out a bulletin to the WooHoo Stampers group I belong to and someone sent me directions....Well, I DID IT! And you know what it wasn't HARD at all! Lookie....

FIRST WORKSHOP OF THE 2010 SU YEAR!

Hello Peeps!

Last night was my very first workshop for the SU year with a very dear friend of mine, Beth. We had a great time recreating the project with did at our make & takes at convention using the small open-end envelopes and trim a very thing line off the top of the envelope once it was sealed. Making three matching cards and decorating the front. As these were all new stampers instead of using markers to color the different words in the stamp we just co-ordinated the color of the cardstock with the sentiment. I think everything turned out great. While I didn't get any bookings they loved the project. I did make in advance two different versions to show the capabilites of stepping it up. I showed the version we did at convention and then a version that Dawn Griffith has on her blog and that was a hit! I really do not know about sales because she has several people that couldn't make the workshop and wants to wait for their orders but all in all it was a great time and gave me a little practice for my next three workshops!

Did I forget to tell you? If you book a workshop with me before August 31st you get an additonal $25 in FREE product. So do not hesitate, call me with your date you are interested in having your workshop and we can come up with a WOW project for yours also!

I apologize once again for not having any photos. My camera is broken and there are no funds in site right now for a new one! So book those workshops for me so I can share my projects with you!!!!

CONVENTION 2010

Good Morning....Iknow it's been awhile but my life has been crazy really! I just came back from Convention 2010 and oh my gosh....it started out on the wrong foot from day one. I left for convention a day early (I like doing that so you aren't rushed and of course, I am never done with my swaps so I have everything stamped, cut and all I have to do is assemble when I arrive in SLC;

This year I started a new job back in January and work 40 hours a week and I just cannot seem to get on a schedule for some reason and am very tired and go to bed very early. I am up everyday at 4:30 a.m. - I shower, put my make-up on and check my emails for orders of course and browse my favorite blogs. Then I am out the door by 6:15 a.m. I have a handicapped sister I take care of and have to get her off to work a 1/2 hour in the oppposite direction of my job. Then I travel to my job.

Long story short, the day before I took off I was up at 4:30 a.m. and never went to sleep because I was working on my swaps it was 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning when I finally had to stop and clean up (I work in my kitchen because I DO NOT HAVE A CRAFT ROOM!). Took a shower, got dressed and went to put my sneakers on to find the my feet were swollen like balloons....needless to say I do not own a pair of sandals now what was I going to do? Well my husband said "You'll have to wear mine!" I did until we got to SLC and went to the Gateway Malll thinking I could just get a pair of flip flops...NOT!!! They were so darned swollen I couldn't even get into them so I had to buy a pair of men's sandals that fit me better than my husband's.

Check-in day we found that the entrance by the Plaza Hotel was locked and had to walk all the way around, which under normal circumstances wouldn't be a problem but my feet were still swollen and now I had blisters from the new sandals....we come to walk around and meet up with Shelli and her daughter Sara who also was locked out of the convention center (they were there early for rehearsals). It was about 7 a.m. by then and they didn't open the doors until 9 a.m.! so I was standing with swollen feet for 2 hours then had to wait on the line for Memento Mall another 45 mins....shop and stand on line to pay.....then stand on another line to get my bag from convention (that line was the fastest one!)....I just happened to have had to bend down to get something into my bag and looked at my feet which were swollen beyond belief....and the tips of my toes were blue....so I told my roommates that I was going back to the room to elevate my feet and put ice on them.

Well convention was great it was no fun for me. It was very hard for me to get around and I was so embarrassed of these sandals I had to wear (people looking at me didn't know I had a problem probably though omgosh....look what she is wearing on her feet!)

While I was there my roommates made me go to the EMT at the convention center and they scared me half to death! They took my blood pressure which was through the roof - and told me that it was cardiac related and wanted to take me right to the SLC Hospital. I do not have health insurance and being in a strange state I didn't want to go! When I got home my daughter made an appointment with her Cardiologist she works for while I am happy to say there isn't anything wrong but $1200 later I am bummed because that was for my SU new products! I have taken every test under the sun. Everything comes back negative so we will never find out what happened....it just ruined by Convention and to top that off. I forgot my CAMERA.....while it is broken, I still would have gotten some pictures!

My roommates promise me a CD so I could at least share something with you. I haven't done any stamping since I am home but I do have several workshops booked and I will be doing two of the make and takes today because that's what I am doing for my workshops and copying the directions to give out to make it a little easier for the guests in case they miss something that I tell them to do....What do you think?

So I guess I will let you go...just wanted to get you up to speed. I hope to be back by Wednesday with a project to show you.

OH NO AGAIN!!!

I am so sorry to once again delay in posting. It really is hard to post when you do not have a camera. I am trying to use my old one with no luck.

There is a few things I would like to discuss. THE NEW SUMMER MINI...wait until you see this catalog. It is to die for. There are so many different embellishment and a goal setter for our new Idea Book and Catalog.

The new Color Renovation. I have to admit at first it startled me but the more I look at the colors and what you can match with, I am very excited. I cannot wait until we are able to order it, so I can pass it along to you my friends. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. The only thing I am disappointed about is there isn't any purples. My oldest daughter, Jaime's favorite color is purple. How am I going to make a card for her now when they no longer have purple? (I anticipate selling everything that retires this year so I have money to buy new!)

I am doing a class in my HOME on May 23, 2010 called BELLA BLEU designed and created by Lisa Freeman from Stampinwithlisa.com. I will be tweaking it a bit to make it my own style. The fee for this class is $15. If you would like to attend this class, please call me and reserve your spot. See picture below. I am so excited for this class as we will be using so many embellished and Designer Series Paper.

Good Morning my Stamping Friends! Hope this post finds everyone well. I know in my past post I had said I was going to be offering up some blog candy and life has just been so hectic and hard for me to get use to with working full-time and taking care of my handicapped sister. I know that's no excuse but with age comes slowness!! LOL

Hi everyone....I know I said I would be posting more often but ..... I hate to sound like a broken record but I have still not been able to get use to working and I go to bed very early. Just this week I fell down my stairs and broke my toe and screwed up both my legs so i have been out of it a little.

I belong to a GREAT group of stampers....THE WOOHOO STAMPERS and we get together once a month to go over demonstratorship and ideas as well as full card swaps. Above is the card I created for you to see. While it wasn't totally cased I did see it somewhere and cannot remember where so if it's you, please let me know so I can give you the proper credit. I did change it a bit by adding the ornament vase, gold cord, butterflies and the bird....finished it off with the Modern Label Punch. In case you never layered before...all you do is punch out the coordinating color and cut it in half and then adhere it to the layered look you prefer. I did sponge all my punched items to add a little extra to it...let me know what you think..

I have had this Stampin' UP!® die for sometime now and with this the latest craze, I thought I would give it a try. After seeing this on DOStamping with Dawn, I knew I had to try it out. Thanks Dawn!

A very dear friend of mine through Stampin' UP!® (that is only one of the reasons to join the SU family, is the friendships you make) has been very kind and helping me try to build my business and has been giving me some really good pointers. 2 MONTHS PAST!

I cannot believe that two months have gone by without a post. I apologize for that really! I finally found a job and have been having a hard time adjusting to having to get up early every morning. When I come home I am totally exhausted and find myself going to bed very early. I promise to try and post more often.

Well my new job isn't an Administrative Assistant like I have been doing the last 39 years but it's a job and I am making money so that's all that matter. I do like it though!!! I am a Reservationist for All Star Limousine Worldwide. So if anyone is in the need of a Limo let me know and I could hook you up! LOL

In addition to finding a new job and had the heartbreaking experience of breaking my brand new camera that is out of warranty and I didn't take out the extended policy....so now I am on the lookout for a new one. Any suggestions? I am attaching my last projects just before it broke...

In my last post I shared some gifts I gave at Christmas...here another one. This was again cased but in a Christmas theme. The one I cased was a Birthday cupcake theme. Forgive me but I cannot remember the artist name, so if it's you, please email me and I will give credit where it's due. I love this little project and plan on making more in different themes so stay tuned.

These are Twizzlers cut to CD size. I used Designer Series Paper to add color to the backing. I made belly bands with Stampin' UP! border punches: Eyelet and Scallop, I used Marvy Scallop Circle Punchs for the sentiments and the sentiments are SU Rub-ons. These were made to sell at my last Craft Fair and they both sold! Inspiration was given by Mega Stampin Studio...thanks girls...love your ideas.

What's in a Box??

I started stamping, well let's say I started buying Stamping supplies since 2000 and it wasn't until I met my first Stampin' UP!® demonstrator, Wendy that I actually started stamping. Thank you Wendy. From then on, it was history and I was hooked. It wasn't until November, 2003 that that I decided to bite the bullet and become a demonstrator myself. In the process of my purchasing stamping supplies, I purchased items that I thought I would stamp on and make as gifts. The boxes above were bought for that reason.

I just came across these boxes recently and really didn't want to stamp on them. They had a glossy finish to them and knew I only could use Craft Ink and just didn't want to pull them out. So I took out all my retired Designer Series Paper and covered the outside and inside and added some embellishment to the tops. What do you think?

Good Morning Stampers:

I am going to be super busy today and tomorrow trying to get caught up with my house cleaning. I was so down losing my job last week and sick from a cold that I did spend about three days in bed (which is not like me normally so you know I didn't feel well)...but I am going to snap out of it, but my house has been suffering and I have been neglecting my husband also so I want to make this quick.

These are tissue holders that I made for a craft fair on Dec 5th. They were inspired by D Sparks one of my roommates at Convention this year. I made mine a little different to make it my own but wanted to give her credit. I used glitter pens around the butterfly to give it a little extra pizzazz! and used gold cord for it's antennas. I know it's been awhile since I posted to my blog and I want to apologize. I have been having a lot of things going on. I finished my photography class, had a craft fair, taught two classes at a local library, had a stamp meeting, and a movie night.

And if that wasn't enough I lost my part-time job...now I am totally jobless so if anyone out here on Long Island's South Shore that needs an Administrative Assistant, I am your girl just contact me.

I am so sorry I haven't been around in such a long time. Life has just been crazy. First I had the Stampin' UP!® Convention. Came home to all sorts of problems. Then I had a scheduled vacation to Aruba. I will be sharing some pictures shortly.

I am also taking another photography course and hopefully once I am finished with this one, I can share with you all the projects I have been doing. I have tons to show you as I am doing a Craft Fair at a local school in my area on November 20th. It's indoors so I am definitely going to be there. I had a Craft Fair on September 12th that I couldn't attend because it was raining and you know what happens to cardstock in the rain!

Hi Everyone....I am so sorry for being away so long again. I am getting prepared for the Stampin' UP!® convention Aug 5-8 and I am making my roommate gifts and starting on my swaps so I have super busy.

Besides all that I am taking a photography class and am I glad I did. I am learning so much. Last night he introduced a program I wasn't aware of for free on the internet ~~ Picasa 3. Wow is this program jammed packed and so much better than FastStone. As soon as I finish the course and he shows us everything, I will download and promise to post my cards and projects with a better look to them.

Good Morning! Well I took my photography class and learned a lot. I think I will have to invest in a Camera Tent and Lights...Does anyone have a good source I can go to? Inexpensively priced?

I know you've seen a lot of these cards in the blogging world and this is what I came up with. I did this in one of my classes several weeks ago and it was a big hit. In fact, several customers came up with different size vases using different punches. I will post them shortly.

Just a quick note to let you know that I am alive and will be posting shortly. My camera has been giving me problems. I went to a local camera store and it wouldn't do it for him (isn't that always the way?) It really has been a really busy two weeks and I finally can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just finished a Wedding Invitation job and now I have plans to get to the camera shop to see what is going on with my camera. I would also like to see if they can give me some pointers or refer me to a mini class on photography. As soon as I get this ironed out, I will be posting all my projects, promise!

I want to wish every one a very safe and Happy Memorial Day weekend. Let's remember those who fought for us and gave us our freedom!

Good Morning everyone! I know, I know. It's been ages since I've posted. I have a few things in the works here that has prevented me from posting. First, my camera is not taking pictures well or should I say the person behind it LOL! I need to get to a camera store and ask for guidance. I am in the process of working on a big project I just received. I am doing wedding invitations for a bride. I promise as soon as I am done with the invitations and I can get to a camera store, I will post everything I have been doing.

I cannot believe how time is just flying by. I have been working on a few things and it is keeping me from posting here. I know I am new and should be on here everyday and I promise you in a couple of days, I will.

I also want to add, for my customers, viewing my blog for the first time. at the end of every post is a comment section. Please let me know how you like the project or post shown and if there is anything that I do not cover in my class that you want to learn, all you need to do is to add it to your comment. I will personally answer your posts or email.

I have a few things I will be trying out in the next week or two. We it is late and only went to be at 2 a.m. this morning, up at 6 a.m. Stamped all day so I am heading to bed.

CANDLE HOLDER

Oh how fun and easy this was to do. First I used last years Sale-a-Bration Rub-on called Love & Happiness #111228. Check out the stem....Irene suggested we use the large flower from the set. I punched out the center of the flower with our 1/2" circle punch #104390 and put a slit in one of the petals, wrapped it around the stem and rubbed it onto the base. Then I added the ribbon from Stampin' UP! ® Ribbon Originals Valet set #114318. Candle and candleholder are from Michaels.

TIC TAC BIG PACK HOLDER

I was surfing the blogs one day and came across Kimberley Morris' blog and she had this really cute Tic Tac Holder for the Big Pack and I just had to case it. Hers was stamped and sponged so I decided to do mine just with Delicate Dots Designer Paper.

Sorry for the blurry pictures. If anyone knows how I can fix this, please email me or leave me a comment. On my camera it is clear but in the upload something happens to it. So what do you think? Cute huh? They are so easy to make and I think anyone receiving it will love it. If you are interested in the directions, email me...I do not know how to link Kimberley's blog or her instructions. WEDDING FAVOR

I know it's been awhile since I posted. I really do not have an excuse except that I spend too much time on the computer surfing blogs when I really should be paying attention to my own. I guess that will come in time.

RECTANGLE COASTER ACCORDIAN ALBUM

Happy Palm Sunday everyone! Hope you enjoy this special day with family and loved ones. My friend Irene is coming over today so we can stamp some projects and I will be sure to share them with you.

Today I am going to share with you a "Rectangle Coaster Accordian Album" which was inspired by Angie Jada on Chic n' Scratch. I had to make minor adjustments because the coasters I was using were not from Angie and the size was a bit off. I am going to show you the album closed and open. Of course, I put my own spin on it but the idea was Angie's. Please add a comment and let me know what you think. Add some photos and a journaling box and you're done.

EASTER CANDLE

Good Evening! I am so sorry to post this so late. Today has been a really crazy day. Boy, I do not know how I did it when I was working full-time. The days just seem to fly by. Does it seem that way to you too?

For today's post I have a candle I made with a friend of mine, Irene. Hello Irene. Making candles are so easy and Dawn Griffith gave us the idea to add an embellishment on it to finish it off. Doesn't the brad in the flower look great? I have a picture of it standing by itself, and one with it put in a Stampin' UP!® cellophane Bags sold on Page 157 in the current Idea Book & Catalog.

I will be doing a class on candles on my next round of classes. We will use rub-ons also in this class. If there is ever anything you want to learn, just ask me and I will add to the next round of classes.

WEDDING INVITATION

Above is an invitation we received from our neighbor for their son's wedding in Washington, D. C. Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties we were unable to attend, but sent a gift instead. Below is the card and inside the card. I cannot include the envelope I made to match the invitation because I cannot figure out how to block out the address.

So what do you think? Well his mom and dad already told my husband that he couldn't believe I made it, let alone match his invitation.

Now if I could only learn this blogging stuff, it would make my day. This tiny little post I've been working on for 2 hours. Every time I loaded the pictures they were coming out backwards and mirror images....I still do not know what I was doing wrong.
